Interview Podcasts

An interview podcast usually involves one or two hosts who speak with one or more guests each episode. They require quite a bit of research and the right set of skills to draw out interesting stories from guests.

Monologue / Solo Commentary Podcasts

A single host speaks for the whole episode. They are usually hosted by an expert in the chosen field. Audience members tune in to learn about a specific topic or get an informed opinion on recent events.

Conversational Podcasts

Two podcast hosts have entertaining conversations about specific themes and topics and provide insightful, or humorous commentary. They may include guests, as well. If there are more than two hosts and this type of content, then we end up with Roundtable/Panel Podcasts.

Nonfiction Storytelling / Investigative Podcasts

One or more hosts use each podcast episode to tell a whole story or a chapter of an ongoing story. This format depends on research skills.

Fictional story-telling / Theatrical Podcasts

Some consist of a single host who narrates a story in a similar way to an audiobook. Others have a big cast along with sound effects for a “live in the story” experience.

Hybrid

A combination of some of the basic formats that creates a unique show.

Upload entry files

      • Audio file (.mp3)

*This is your entry that will be evaluated.

Optionally, for promotion and better communication of the entries at the stage of the Audience Award, it is suggested that each audio/musical production be visualized and a corresponding original poster or video clip accompany the submission of the podcast and song.

      • Poster/banner (optional)

*We recommend that the poster be square, whatever dimensions you want as long as it is visible. You can include information about your school, your participation, or anything else you wish. The file type must be a picture. We strongly suggest jpg or png. Not a PDF.

      • Video- video clip (optional)

*It is the visualization of your audio, whether it is a podcast or a song. The end titles can include information such as your students’ names and school. The file type should be a compressed video. We strongly suggest mp4.
